I I follow, I follow you deep sea baby, I follow you – I I follow, I follow you, dark boom honey

Swedish singer-songwriter Lykke Li is growing in popularity within both the indie and commercial communities thanks to the success of her latest single, “I Follow Rivers”. Signed to EMI, she spent six months writing and recording her latest studio album Wounded Rhymes in Los Angeles last year. Upon release in February of this year, the album averaged out in the 80′s on metacritic, implying widespread critical acclaim.

What impresses me about her is that she pushes boundaries with the album and it is definitely a very experimental project. I need to spend more time on her music to be able to give a decent opinion but I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Wounded Rhymes and buy “I Follow Rivers” on iTunes if you enjoy it as much as I do.

What do you think about “I Follow Rivers”?

  12. Nice song…but she sings out of tune! (unless she is going for an middle east kind of tuning…) Seeing as the song is a homage to Madonna’s Frozen, she should have used the same auto-tune program.
