The sun goes down, the stars come out, and all that counts, is here – and now, my universe, will never be the same – I’m glad you came

I first heard of British pop band The Wanted when they released “All Time Low” to radio in the second half of last year. While I’m not officially a fan of theirs, I must admit I was intrigued to see what they had brought to the table a year later when I heard that a new single of theirs had debuted at #1 in the UK. The party inspired “Teenage Dream” meets “I Gotta Feeling” song taking over British radio at the moment is the new single from their second studio album titled “Glad You Came”. Filmed in Ibiza, the video fits the song perfectly and this one is definitely a party anthem to look out for in the next couple of months.

Their new album is scheduled for a November 2011 release which may seem far away but I’m sure they are going to ride the wave of this single for the next two months, and then drop a new single just before the album is out. While signed to Geffen in the UK I see Def Jam signed them in the US last year so I’m wondering whether this song will also get a US release. I guess only time will tell. Make sure you support the track if you like it by buying it on iTunes if you like it.

What do you think about “Glad You Came”?
