Tonight we are young – so lets set the world on fire, we can burn brighter than the sun
fun. is an indie-pop band based in New York city, that has been making music since 2008. Signed to Fueled By Ramen (Paramore, Panic at the Disco) the band is planning on releasing their second full length album Some Nights in February of 2012. Preceded by the lead single “We Are Young” (featuring Janelle Monae), these guys are looking to make a splash on the music industry with their hybrid sound, and I’m sticking to my guns on an earlier statement I made about a combination of indie and pop music (an all-new commercial genre) being big as we head into the new year.
A recent episode of the hit US series Glee featured a cover of this track and since it has reached close to one million hits on Youtube! I must comment on the simple yet very interesting music video, and hope you will appreciate it for what it is, with all the undertones included. Watch it a couple of times if you don’t quite follow initially; it took me a few views to understand and appreciate it fully. I’m hoping that the song keeps growing in popularity, and hoping it will pick up on iTunes even more (currently it sits in and around the Top 50), so do your part and be sure to purchase a copy of it if you like what you hear. Keep an eye out for these guys in the next couple of months, and keep supporting good music.
Like what you hear? You should download the track and add it to your collection.
