Girl tell me how you feel, what’s your fantasy, I see us on a beach down in Mexico – I’ll have you living life like you should, you’ll say you never had it so good
B.o.B is one of my favourite hip-hop artists out there in the music industry today and I’ve particularly appreciated his previous releases including “Airplanes”, “Magic” & “Don’t Let Me Fall”. 2012 means he is back with his second studio album titled Strange Clouds and while the title track first single didn’t pick up as much as I initially anticipated, I am happy to report that the follow-up single is a much more pop-friendly radio single called “So Good”. Released towards the end of February, the song sees B.o.B move away from a more urban sound and is a typical feel-good pop radio hit. Produced by Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) the song is being so well received that it debuted just outside the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Look out for it to be a Top 5 hit in coming weeks too, as downloads are slowly but surely on the up.
I’m excited to hear what else he can bring to the table with the release of Strange Clouds on May 1st. Confirmed collaborations include Taylor Swift and Eminem and I’m glad to see that he is experimenting with other producers too for the project. It is so crucial to keep pushing yourself and your sound and while B.o.B is an incredibly talented producer it’s a good thing that he’ll be working with Dr. Luke (Katy Perry) on a track or two as well. Make sure you pick up your copy of the new album once it hits stores and keep supporting the industry by requesting this song on your local radio station if you like what you hear.
