As long as you love me, we could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke – as long as you love me

Big ups Island Records! Just when I thought the obvious pop single choice to be the follow-up to Justin Bieber‘s “Boyfriend” would be “Beauty and a Beat” or “All Around The World”, they go and schedule a bit of a dark horse track – “As Long As You Love Me” – to be released as the second mainstream single from Believe! Released to radio this coming Tuesday, the 10th of July, the song wasn’t one that I initially considered in my list of potential singles but after giving it a couple of spins yesterday I’ve realised it has potential in the pop market, and it could also potentially do a bit of crossing over into the urban market too thanks to the Big Sean verse and the near perfect production from Darkchild (“Telephone” – Lady Gaga, “Lose My Breath” – Destiny’s Child).

I have a feeling this one is going to do pretty well for Bieber in the coming months and I look forward to seeing it climb on US iTunes in the next week too. Currently it sits at#85 but this is just from initial single announcement buzz and I’m sure a music video is going to make it skyrocket into the Top 10. Keep an ear out for this track on radio in the coming weeks and make sure you check out the songs I referred to earlier, as they will likely be the follow-up mainstream singles from a project showcasing what is definitely a more mature sounding Justin Bieber.

How are we feeling about “As Long As You Love Me”?
